Last Will & Testament

A properly prepared and witnessed Will is crucial to ensure that your loved ones are provided for after you're gone. We provide a complete service and take the time to make sure that your testamentary wishes are properly carried out.

At our initial consultation we will discuss your personal and financial circumstances and the best way to achieve your testamentary wishes. We will then draft your Will and, once approved by you, arrange proper signing and finalisation.

Enduring Power of Attorney

An Enduring Power of Attorney (or "EPA") is a legal document by which you give another person the legal authority to make financial and legal decisions on your behalf. An EPA allows you to decide who will manage your financial affairs if you later lose mental capacity.

We will prepare and finalise an EPA for you at the same time as your Will, at no additional cost.

Enduring Power of Guardianship

An Enduring Power of Guardianship (or "EPG") is a legal document by which you give another person the legal authority to make personal, lifestyle and treatment decisions on your behalf. An EPG allows you to decide who will make lifestyle decisions for you if you later lose mental capacity.

We can prepare and finalise an EPG for you at the same time as your Will for a small additional cost.

Blended Families

Independent Legal no longer prepares Wills for blended families. A blended family is a couple where either or both people have children from a previous relationship.
